Do You Remember… Golden Books

Doesn’t this picture bring back memories?

I wasn’t much of a reader but I remember seeing Golden Books at school and people’s houses.  I don’t recall having any at home – plus, with 3 older brothers – I’d probably get beat up if I was caught reading them.

But I secretly read a couple – or at least looked at the pictures.  But at first glance of the gold binding, I immediately knew what they were.

Do you remember these:

Do you remember reading Golden Books when you were growing up?  Which titles do your remember?  Did you make them available for your children?  Do you still have some lying around the house to pass on to future generations?

Good afternoon! My favorite was Nurse Nancy. The book had pictures of special band aids that were included with the book, Too bad all the band aids were gone by the time the book got passed down to me. I always wished for those band aids because I think some were decorated with pictures and were in special shapes, like maybe a duck I think. Fond memories…

Good Morning! I remember those books. I had a bunch of them, I recognize all the ones in the picture….I really liked Poky Little Puppy. I am hoping that those books are still in a box at my parents house.

  34. Kage says:

    Good morning!

I remember these books too. The titles escape the memory…. 🙁

I was the youngest of the family and the cousins so many, many hand me downs too. Some of the books were missing pages. 🙂 Just make up the story in between.

  35. Mark'75 says:

Being the youngest of four, we had a lot of Golden Books at home. I don’t remember any specific title, but there were lots.

Our kids had a number of them too, some were also hand-me-downs.

  36. Mark'75 says:

    First?
